about

Carnaval Callejero Himnos de Club (Street Carnival Club Anthems) is Borchi y Su Doble Redoble's debut LP.

Borchi y Su Doble Redoble is:
Dj/Sampleadelia: Pablo Borchi
Sax Alto & Tenor: Asaph Sánchez
Sousaphone/Tuba: Gary Anzures

Production and Mastering by Borchi
All tracks written by Pablo Borchi, Asaph Sánchez & Gary Anzures, except: 1) Noom!, written by Borchi & Ozferti, 2) Boogat - Mezcalero Feliz (Borchi y Su Doble Redoble Remix) written by Borchi, Sanchez & Anzures based on an original track from Boogat.

Originally from the Coyoacán district of Mexico City, Pablo Borchi started out as an MC in Mexican live hip hop outfit Beat Buffet, and one of the masterminds behind the popular Day Off music festival.
Ever since, Borchi has undetaken a solo path that has taken him to become one of the most relevant artists of the global bass scene of Mexico, being part of the Red Bull Music Academy in 2015, and constantly touring between Mexico, Europe and Latin America.

In 2016 he premieres Borchi y Su Doble Redoble, a concept based live show that brings the atmosphere of the street carnivals of Latin America, specifically of Northern Brazil and the New Orleans Mardi Gras, to the urban dancefloor.

After a year full of invitations to play at renowned stages such as Boiler Room, Mutek Festival (Mexico and Canada), SXSW, Corona Sunsets, Hape Fiesta at Cuba, and many more, Borchi y Su Doble Redoble has proved to be a live performance that can shake intimate and massive audiences with a powerful freestyle energy while still remaining within the world of left-field electronics.

This album condenses the past year and a half of dancefloor experience gathered by Borchi y Su Doble Redoble, thus delivering 12 tracks that while the are tribute to the soundsystem culture and street carnivals, they
still remain as songs meant to be able to be heard back at home.
